Marc Rambeau

Born in France in 1945, Marc studied at the Villa Thiole( French School for Visual Arts ) and at the National School for Decorative Arts in Nice.
Marc moved to Australia in 1985 and became a citizen in 1989.
He lived in Beijing for six months in 1995/6. This stay in China marked a new era for his work as he discovered the rice paper medium which he
has used extensively for his paintings. The influence of his time in China can be seen in the deceptive simplicity of his bold calligraphic drawings
and his use of ink on rice paper.
East meets West in his colour compositions, collages, and image repetitions he has developed over the years, essentially relating to travel, the
Australian Bush, South Pacific Islands, Asia and Europe.
Marc exhibits regularly in Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, Noumea, Tahiti, New Zealand and all over Australia and his work is held in private and
Corporate collections in all these places.
