Perl Contemporary Art was established in 2003 by Stanley Perl, and specialises in the sourcing and sale of Australian and selected International Art to collectors, investors and first time buyers. The artists can be categorised as emerging, established or investment buys.

Framing is one of our specialities. We use only conservation framing materials and superior local and imported mouldings. We can arrange framing from small items (etchings) to large canvasses or mirrors, from box frames to perspex boxes. All our frames are individually designed for any type of artwork to suit any budget.

Stanley Perl
Stanley was born in South Africa. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1965 and worked as chief accountant for a real estate company for 17 years.
He has had an interest in art from a young age and is an avid collector of art. To pursue his interests, he completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History of Art in 1981. This gave him the encouragement to open and manage a succesful gallery in Killarney, Johannesburg, before he immigrated to Australia in 1986.
From 1987 to 2003 he maintained a high art profile through his gallery Art and Frame International in Double Bay. From 2006 to 2011 he operated a gallery in Vaucluse with his daughter Justine, a well-known photographer. From May 2011 to date, he continues to conduct his flourishing art consultancy business from an office in Rose Bay.
