Conchita Carambano
Born in Stuttgart in 1961 to Spanish parents, Conchita migrated with her family to Australia in 1969. Since completing post-graduate studies in Fine Art in 1983, Conchita has had a number of highly successful solo exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne. She is represented in the National Library Collection in Canberra and has won several art prizes.
Her richly textured surfaces shimmer with the warmth emanating from her overlays of gold and silver leaf echoing nature's promise of rebirth. Each painting is a window into the personal world of the artist's passion for life and idiosyncratic sense of humour.
Her work is held in corporate and private collections in Australia, the U.K., U.S.A. and Asia.
