Mandy Emerson

Mandy Emerson is a New Zealand born artist. Certain themes pervade her artwork. " The prescence of grand dresses, trees and birds nests are a representation to me of a strong nurturing figure, ie: nests cradle the eggs, the tree cradles the nest and the Mannequin's representation speaks for itself - the female." The paints she applies to her canvases are added in a series of layers, giving the end product an almost vintage antique look.

She has held many successful solo and group shows in New Zealand with many of the shows being sell -outs. She was the winner of the NZAAT Signature Award for emerging artists in Wellington, New Zealand.

She was selected to exhibit at Art Melbourne in April 2010 and was successful in selling many paintings.
