Dinah Wakefield

Dinah Wakefield is the daughter of the English artist, Larry Wakefield. She grew up in England, before moving to Australia in 1982." I was instantly moved by the Australian landscape, particularly the desert. Its colours, textures and history have become important components of my work." Her paintings are multilayered with diluted acrylic mediums in order to obtain depth of colour, with some having gestural scratching through the layers. Dinah has exhibited in all the major centres in Australia, and has paintings in private and corporate collections in Australia, the U.K., New York and Los Angeles.
