Stanley Perl

Stanley was born in South Africa. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1965 and worked as chief accountant for a real estate company for 17 years. He always had an interest in art and was an avid collector from a young age. To pursue his interest he completed a Bachelor of Art majoring in History of Art in 1981. This gave him the encouragement he needed to open and manage a successful art gallery in Johannesburg for four years before he immigrated to Australia in 1986. In Sydney from 1989 to 2003, he continued to maintain a high art profile through his gallery, Art and Frame International in Double Bay. From 2003 to April 2006, he conducted a successful art consultancy business, sourcing art for private and corporate clients. In May 2006 he opened a new gallery in Vaucluse and continues to sell art and provides a comprehensive framing services.
